Outputs and Results
These are the three main outputs we will have produced by the end of the project.
Virtual Time Travel Demonstration
This output will be a demonstration of digital heritage resources that represent natural, cultural, tangible and intangible, movable and immovable heritage. These resources have been created through modelling and digitisation, and will represent heritage as it is now and as it was in the past through live events and virtual galleries. By adding appropriate meta data to media we will make it findable, accessible and provide context. Meta data will be structured by the type of heritage. Associating meta data with digital reconstructions will enable application of the Sevilla principles and provide proper context and rigour for the reconstruction process. The heritage will be organised into thematic galleries that address key themes of relevance to old Norse, Celtic and indigenous culture as well as modern maritime and other commonalities. Media will be archived in Zenodo and selections made available through Europeana.

Virtual Museum and Exhibition system
In the CINE project we created a virtual museum infrastructure which provides meta data, archive facilities and supports exhibitions including digital galleries, virtual tours and interactive maps. In the STRATUS project we are developing exhibits and workshops to promote heritage and to build capacity. The VMIN will take these to the next level. Building of CINEGATE and STRATUS we will make an infrastructure which and virtual museums, based upon digital content including some 30 digital reconstructions, 200 3D models and multiple virtual tours. It will host content from across the NPA region and beyond. The infrastructure will be open small to medium museums, heritage organisations to put their content online in International Image Interoperability Framework Galleries. We will work with Associated Partners to create live events which will include: expert guided virtual tours of reconstructions, using people's home computers. The VM will connect with Zenodo and Europeana.

Virtual Centre of Excellence
A package of digital resource which help build capacity for digital preservation and promotion of heritage. This includes digital resources providing a pre packaged online course in selected areas of digital heritage, documents promoting best practice in co production and gamification & online support infrastructure for delivery. The capacity building resources will be focussed around a series of workshops. These will be held online live, and bring together heritage volunteers and professionals from across the NPA to share experiences, develop understanding and learn new skills. They will draw upon live workshops held in CUPIDO. The workshops will be accompanied by digital resources based on CINE GATE toolkits. These will include step by step guides for completing activities. Such as using your phone to make a podcast and how to shoot a virtual tour. Northern Network for the digital promotion and preservation of heritage will be established at the final seminar in Iceland
